A lot of people are in homes where the option to reface their kitchen is a super great one, but people always have lots of questions on the positives, the negatives and when the application of giving your kitchen a facelift with just new doors is the way to go.
Refacing is when the boxes of your kitchen stay in place and your replace the doors, as well as potentially the panels, toe kicks, riser and crown. Here are the questions that we most get asked about refacing.

Q: I have an older kitchen that is still in good shape, we love the color and layout, but want to give the space a refresh with new doors in a different door profile (Shaker, Transitional Shaker, reeded doors, ect). Would just doing a refacing job work for our kitchen?
A: This is the perfect scenario for refacing; keeping the same cabinet color makes the renovation straightforward and hassle-free. We only need to select a door profile and order new doors and panels. By maintaining the same color, the tape inside your cabinetry remains unchanged, along with all the finishing trim in your kitchen (such as toe kicks, light valance, riser, etc.). This is an ideal solution for those who want to avoid the mess and cost of a full kitchen renovation while seeking a refreshed look for their existing setup.
Q: My boxes are in great shape and I love the layout of my kitchen. But I’d like do redo it in a whole new bold color. Is this something you offer?
A: This is a service we are pleased to offer. However, significantly changing the color of your kitchen can increase the cost. At this stage, we consider altering the obvious parts of your cabinetry, like doors, panels, and all the trim, but there are also less obvious elements, such as the edge tape inside your cabinetry. During the free measure and design appointment, we typically provide two different quotes for your project. The first is a door refacing project, which involves replacing everything except for your boxes. We also like to offer a quote for an entirely new kitchen. This approach gives clients options and price comparisons, enabling them to make informed decisions about the costs associated with their project and their expectations for the appearance of the space.
Q: I am refacing my kitchen and am just wanting to provide measurements and buy doors, is this something you do?
A: Absolutely, we provide high quality kitchen doors in custom sizes for lots of jobs, including to home owners, contractors and apartments. We work hard to make the process as simple as possible, you just provide us with the measurements and hinge placement, pick you color and style and we will get to work on your order.
Q: I have decided to reface my kitchen, am I stuck with picking from just a few generic colors?
A: No, we have a very wide selection of Polymer doors to chose from in all sorts of colors and profiles. We also can do a Lacquer (painted door), in any Benjamin Moore color.
Q: I am wanting to just order doors but have an issue measuring them myself, will someone come to help me with this?
A: We would be more than happy to offer you a measuring service. We have appointments that are available during our normal work hours as well as in the evenings and on weekends by appointment.

Refacing can be an amazing option for giving your space a new and fresh look, while maintaining a tighter budget. With so many door options and the ability to do any size door or panel, the potential for your renovation is unlimited
